Design is not software and it is certainly not created by a computer by just clicking the mouse! It is well thought out concepts and solutions that properly communicate ideas in a visual hierarchy. While functionality is priority for graphic design, the overall composition has a great impact on a design's ability to draw attention and properly visually communicate a message which determines whether it succeeds. Prof. Tom Emmerson will share graphic design concepts and techniques that will make you think different, change the look of your designs, and yield better results. You'll see before and after versions of student work and "real world" examples. All questions regarding the field of graphic design are welcome!
